A rare opportunity has arisen at our Scarborough branch for a Sales Counter Advisor. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fantastic team within an expanding company, with a proven track record of promoting staff throughout its business.

Sales experience in a similar role within a Builders’ Merchant is desirable but training for the right candidate can be given.

As a Counter Sales Advisor, you will play a key role in the sale of our full range of building supplies.

The Ideal Candidate will;

• Have the ability to work on your own initiative but also willing to work as part of a wider team.
• A good communicator who is presentable, approachable, positive and polite.
• Motivated, energetic and passionate about your work
• Knowledge of the building industry and building supplies would be an advantage.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Duties to include;

• Exceeding our customers’ expectations by dealing with them professionally and courteously, either by telephone or face to face on the sales counter.
• Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice.
• Maintaining and developing sales leads.
• Taking a proactive approach to sales using all opportunities to maximise sales and margins.
• Following up on sales enquiries and quotations.
• Maintaining and developing existing and new customer relationships
• Achieving and exceeding your sales targets
• Completing all necessary paperwork in line with company procedures
